The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online is making its way to the iPad in the not-too-distant future. Twitter user @TheJWittz apparently spotted the game out in the wild at the recent Pokémon World Championships

And later on a spokesrobot from the Pokémon Company confirmed to Polygon that the game will indeed be winging its way to the App Store at an unspecified point in our future. That could be right now. It isn't though.

The game is a version of the PC and Mac card game that's pretty much a digital carbon copy of the physical original. It's free to play, you can buy booster packs, and if you love Pokémon and cards you're probably already playing it.

You can also enter codes from packs of cards you've bought in real-life to use them in the game. Whether all these features will make it across to the portable version remains unclear though.

We will, of course, let you know as soon as we hear anything about a more solid release date for Pokémon Trading Card Game Online. And whether it gets a slightly snappier name.

Gee up, Android players, you can now get your mitts on Pixelbite's sci-fi western tactical shooter Space Marshals. It's a bit of alright.

It follows specialist Burton as he hunts down fugitives across the universe's planets after a prison break. How he does this is up to you.

There's a number of different loadouts available that cater to different play styles.

You can charge in with a shotgun and body armour, or perhaps sit back and snipe them, or sneak in with a quiet foot and throwing axes.

There's more than that, too, so it's up to you to experiment. You'll find, disguises, flashbangs, silencers, grenades, energy weapons, and so on.

It's been a long time coming but we can finally sink our teeth into some real detail concerning the Nintendo Switch.

With three modes of play (TV mode, tabletop mode, and handheld mode) the Switch is totally diverse as you can play solo or local multiplayer at the flick of a switch (pun intended).

Its battery life will be dependant by game, but can range from two-and-a-half to six-and-a-half-hours. Thanks to its USB Type C adaptor you can still play while the device charges.

The screen uses a capacitive touch panel and you can connect up to eight Nintendo devices over WiFi for local multiplayer gaming.

In terms of controller, the Joy-Con feature fully functional analogue sticks that can be clicked as well as a home button and NFC reader/writer which can read/write Amiibo data. There's also a capture button which lets you capture screenshots, and eventually video at a later date through social media.

Each controller also features accelerometer and giro sensors, making independent motion control possible. The actual buttons that connect the Joy-Con to the Switch console are in face the L and R buttons, as such each Joy-Con can be used as a fully-functional controller.

The Joy-Con will also be coming in neon blue and neon red, as well as having useful accessories with it such as the strap which makes it less likely to fly out of your hand in movement-based games (such as ping-pong). The right Joy-Con has a motion IR camera that can sense the motion and shape of objects in front of it, and that's pretty neat in itself.

The new HD rumble also built into the controllers makes more immersive feedback - such as being able to physically feel as though you were shaking a glass full of ice cubes.
The Widow and Her Little Maidens

Shmups are hard enough as it is - you need to balance killing everything on screen with the even harder goal of not being killed by thousands of bullets coming at you. But what if it was also a Tetris-esque puzzle game? Yeah. Now we're talking.

Galaxy Stack is just that - a puzzle/shmup hybrid published by Crescent Moon Games and releasing on January 16th. You'll be blasting away at alien ships as they fall from the sky, and making sure you kill them in the right place so they all stack on top of each other. Oh, and avoid getting shot while all that's going on.

It sounds ridiculous, and it looks like it could actually be quite good fun. Plus, it's being developed by one guy, the 17-year-old Ian Crail, which honestly makes it even more impressive. Check the trailer below for more.
